These Terms & Conditions govern the use of this website and the purchase of products from Ashley Classics & Retros.

Ashley Classics & Retros is the trading name of Laurence Dowds, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.

Throughout these Terms, "we", "our" and "us" refer to Ashley Classics & Retros. "You" and "your" refer to the customer.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Ashley Classics & Retros specialises in supplying classic and retro automotive parts including:

• New parts
• Used parts
• Genuine OEM parts
• Aftermarket parts
• New Old Stock (NOS)
• Reconditioned components

We supply customers throughout the United Kingdom and internationally.

We take reasonable care to ensure all descriptions, specifications and photographs are accurate.

Due to the age and rarity of many classic vehicle parts:

• colours may vary slightly;
• manufacturers may have made running production changes;
• compatible vehicles may differ depending on production date, engine specification or market.

Product photographs form part of the product description. Customers should review all photographs carefully before purchasing.

Used components are previously owned items and will normally display signs of age, previous use and storage.

Where reasonably possible, used parts are inspected and tested before sale.

Some components cannot be fully tested once removed from a donor vehicle.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, cosmetic wear does not constitute a fault.

The condition of each used part will be described within the individual product listing.

New Old Stock parts are genuine unused items manufactured previously and stored for extended periods.

Although unused, NOS parts may show light storage marks, ageing or deterioration of packaging due to their age. This is considered normal and does not affect their classification as NOS.

Reconditioned parts have been repaired, refurbished or rebuilt before sale.

Any work carried out will be described within the product listing where applicable.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the part is suitable for their vehicle before placing an order.

We strongly recommend checking:

• part numbers;
• measurements;
• vehicle VIN where appropriate;
• engine type;
• year of manufacture.

If you are unsure, please contact us before purchasing.

We are happy to assist wherever possible but cannot guarantee compatibility where incorrect information has been supplied.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, parts supplied by Ashley Classics & Retros should be installed by a suitably qualified and reputable mechanic.

We accept no responsibility for:

• incorrect installation;
• poor workmanship;
• damage caused during fitting;
• modification of supplied parts;
• failure resulting from incorrect installation.

All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (£).

As we are not VAT registered, VAT is not charged.

Prices may change without notice.

An order constitutes an offer to purchase. A contract is formed only when we accept your order and dispatch the goods.

We reserve the right to cancel orders where:

• stock is unavailable;
• pricing errors have occurred;
• fraud is suspected;
• payment cannot be authorised.

Any payments received for cancelled orders will be refunded.

We accept secure payment through approved payment providers, including:

• Stripe
• PayPal
• Apple Pay
• Google Pay

Payment information is processed securely by the relevant payment provider. We do not store your full payment card details.

Orders are normally dispatched using:

• Royal Mail Tracked 48
• Royal Mail Tracked 24 (where selected)
• Parcelforce
• DPD
• UPS
• Evri

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Delays caused by weather, customs, courier disruption or events outside our control are not our responsibility.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or local charges imposed by their country.

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.

Customers should inspect goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Any transit damage should be reported promptly with photographs of the item and packaging.

Customers have 30 days to return unwanted items in accordance with our Returns & Refund Policy.

Returned goods must be:

• unused where applicable;
• complete;
• securely packaged;
• accompanied by proof of purchase.

Customers are responsible for return postage where an incorrect item has been ordered.

Where an item is confirmed to be faulty or supplied incorrectly, we will arrange or reimburse reasonable return postage.

Special-order or bespoke items are non-returnable unless faulty.

Unless otherwise stated:

• New parts include a 3-month commercial warranty against manufacturing defects.
• Used parts include a 30-day commercial warranty from the date of delivery.
• Reconditioned parts include the warranty stated within the individual listing.

These warranties are provided in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law and do not limit or replace those rights.

The warranty does not cover:

• incorrect installation;
• accidental damage;
• misuse;
• neglect;
• normal wear and tear;
• corrosion;
• modifications;
• racing or competition use.

Electrical components may carry different warranty conditions where stated on the product page.

Nothing within these Terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Subject to applicable law, Ashley Classics & Retros shall not be liable for:

• indirect or consequential losses;
• loss of profits;
• loss of earnings;
• vehicle downtime;
• recovery costs;
• hire vehicle costs;
• labour charges;
• garage charges;
• losses resulting from incorrect diagnosis;
• losses arising from incorrect installation.

Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the goods concerned.

Classic vehicles frequently underwent specification changes during production.

Customers remain responsible for confirming that the part ordered matches their vehicle.

If assistance is required, we encourage customers to contact us before purchasing with photographs, measurements or part numbers where available.

Advice provided by Ashley Classics & Retros is based on the information supplied by the customer.

Where a product is supplied on an exchange basis, the original unit ("core") must be returned within the period specified in the product listing.

Returned cores must be substantially complete and suitable for reconditioning.

Failure to return an acceptable core within the stated period may result in the exchange surcharge being retained.

Products not sold on an exchange basis are unaffected by this policy.

All content, photographs, graphics and text on this website remain the property of Ashley Classics & Retros unless otherwise stated.

They may not be copied, reproduced or used without prior written permission.

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

The version published on our website at the time an order is placed will apply.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
